So what is the RRR?
Founded by Veolia Water employee Derrick Williams back in 1984, the Ricky Road Run has been held annually ever since and is now moving in to its 28th year! The race has grown in stature and last year proved to be our most successful yet with £35,000 raised for worthwhile causes and almost 600 runners taking to the streets of Rickmansworth and Chorleywood.
Over 12,000 people have now competed in the 8.9 mile run since it's founding year. Thanks to both the generous donations from the event's sponsors and the sponsorship raised by individual runners, the Ricky Road Run has managed to raise over £200,000 for both local and international charities alike.
We'd like to thank all the runners, sponsors and volunteers that manage to make this event the success it is.
