ESSENTIAL RACE INFO

Start @ 10.30 am – from Chorleywood Club, Shepherds Lane, Mill End, Rickmansworth. Please ensure that your race number (with timing chip) is securely attached to the front of your running T shirt or vest. It must not be cut, folded or perforated.

Unfortunately, there are no changing or shower facilities available, so all participants should arrive in running kit. Where it is necessary to leave belongings at the start, please supply a secure waterproof bag (e.g. large plastic bag), suitably labelled, in which personal belongings can be stored.

For Health & Safety and Insurance purposes we cannot allow children below 16, including parents with buggies, or runners with pets, to run on the course.

NB: Stewards will provide supervision of these areas during the Run, but articles are left at the individual’s own risk.

Please note that Shepherds Lane will be closed to traffic again this year. Although parking is available in adjoining streets please be considerate for local residents and do not obstruct roads or driveways. If possible we would encourage you to come by public transport.

The route will be manned by stewards/police at all road crossings/junctions. There will be 9 x 1-mile distance marker points at which runners may drop out. Transport to bring you back to the start/finish will be provided.

First Aid and medical attention will be provided by St. John Ambulance around the course.

Please run on the left hand side of the road only and do not wear headphones (ipods etc) while running.

Change course only where course stewards tell you.

When finishing please be directed by officials who will indicate where to finish. Your finishing time and place will be recorded and you will receive a commemorative mug, T-shirt and goodie bag. Refreshment drinks will be available to competitors at the finishing area.

Although it is the organisers’ intention to provide a full recording and results service, competitors are strongly advised to note their own times.
